UNSPSC Classification
What is UNSPSC?+
UNSPSC (United Nations Standard Products and Services Code) is an international classification standard that assigns a hierarchical 8-digit code to products and services — used in spend analysis, procurement reporting and supplier management.
What version of UNSPSC does VCode use?+
VCode uses UNSPSC version 26 — the most current release.
How is a UNSPSC code different from an internal material code?+
An internal code is unique to your organisation and encodes your classification logic. A UNSPSC code is an international standard used for cross-company spend analysis and benchmarking — they serve different purposes.
